Oxford, MS is beautiful from all angles, from way up high to the dive bars hidden underneath clothing stores. Balconies in Oxford seem to have the greatest view and here are the best of the best.
1. Boure Balcony
The Boure Balcony overlooks the entire Historic Oxford Square with the Oxford Courthouse being the focal point. Not only is Boure one of Oxford’s most famous restaurants, but it has an attitude where you feel comfortable letting out a deep breathe and being with company you love.
2. The Coop at The Graduate Oxford
The Graduate Oxford stands on the end of the Historic Oxford Square and has all the character and charm one thinks of when reminiscing about this lively southern town. The eclectic hotel comes together with The Coop, their rooftop bar and restaurant. Perfect for summer dinners or cocktails before exploring the night life that Oxford brings to the table.
3. Square Books
The balconies freckled around Oxford are for more than just nightlife and craft beers. Square Books sits right under the “Fortune’s Famous Ice Cream” sign and is the largest independently owned bookstore in the South with a charm all its own. Their balcony also overlooks the Oxford Courthouse and is the most comfortable place to drink an old fashion soda and read a book that makes you soft smile to yourself.
4. City Grocery
The City Grocery balcony is modest compared to the other large balconies on The Square, but it makes you feel like your struggles throughout the previous week are suddenly insignificant. This balcony is a reward and a breathe of fresh air while you watch the people below paint a smile on your face. Give yourself a true break with this balcony and just watch the world roll by.
5. The Summit
The Summit balcony hangs off what looks like a Colorado Ski Lodge. The true collision of southern and mountain taste coming together in an electric fashion that is full of positive vibes. The balcony is quaint and perfect for an afternoon beer with close friends. And if you are feeling like you need more than a beer, try their Horn Shot to truly get the full experience.
So whether you’re an Oxford veteran or someone who just stepped onto The Square, take a look up. You might find the place that makes you view the world in a completely new light.
